Entrepreneurship a product of our culture

EPOC saw the light of the current political situation in many EU countries. A solution to this can be found in Europe’s cultural heritage, especially for adults from disadvantaged categories.

The project provides them with the necessary skills and knowledge to start a business in the field of cultural heritage. Their cultural identity and sense of European belonging will be strengthened through their increased knowledge of the shared past and the values that shape modern Europe. And by focusing on the relationship between adults from disadvantaged groups, entrepreneurship and cultural heritage, the project will take into account the social dimension of this triple connection.

EPOC vio la luz de la situación política actual en muchos países de la UE. Una solución a esto se puede encontrar en el patrimonio cultural de Europa, especialmente para adultos de categorías desfavorecidas.

El proyecto les brinda las habilidades y el conocimiento necesarios para iniciar un negocio en el campo del patrimonio cultural. Su identidad cultural y su sentido de pertenencia europea se verán reforzados gracias a su mayor conocimiento sobre el pasado compartido y los valores que dan forma a la Europa moderna. Y al centrarse en la relación entre adultos de grupos desfavorecidos, emprendimiento y patrimonio cultural, el proyecto tendrá en cuenta la dimensión social de esta triple conexión.

Results: 

  • To build a network between organisations working with the target group (museums, foundations and institutions in the field of cultural heritage, adult support centres, job centres, local authorities, social care centres, etc.) at national and European level.
  • To share good practices for the participation of adults from difficult backgrounds and problematic pasts in cultural entrepreneurship.
  • To develop new ways of finding tools to face the challenges posed by lack of employment and difficulties in entering the business sector.
  • To enhance the sense of belonging and the sense of common and shared European identity within the target group.

 

  • Construir una red entre organizaciones que trabajan con el grupo objetivo (museos, fundaciones e instituciones en el campo del patrimonio cultural, centros de apoyo para adultos, centros de trabajo, autoridades locales, centros de asistencia social, etc.) a nivel nacional y europeo.
  • Compartir buenas prácticas para la participación de adultos de entornos difíciles y pasado problemático en el emprendimiento cultural
  • Desarrollar nuevas formas de encontrar herramientas para enfrentar los desafíos planteados por la falta de empleo y las dificultades para ingresar al sector empresarial.
  • Mejorar el sentido de pertenencia y el sentido de identidad europea común y compartida dentro del grupo objetivo.
